Every feature answers one question: what should I do next?

Capture in a sentence, score by rules you can read, see the one task that matters, plan a day that fits. This page shows each part working, on fictional tasks.

Today’s Signal and what’s on deck.

Capture in plain language.

Say the day, the priority, the effort and the tag in one line. The reading appears under the field as you type, and nothing saves until you press Capture.

Signal reads:
  • Captured tasks land here, scored.

day · !priority · ~effort · #tag — leave any out and it gets a default.

Leave anything out and it gets a default: priority 50, effort M, no date. A draft survives a closed tab. There is no separate form; a task is one field and Enter.

Scored by rules you can read.

Slide a due date and watch the points move factor by factor. The same arithmetic runs for every task, every time, so a change in the order is always explainable.

33Noise
  1. Priority 60+22
  2. Due in 21 days+2
  3. Waited 9 days+3
  4. Unblocks one task+6

Far out, a due date barely moves the number. In the last week it climbs fast, and every day of waiting adds a little, so an old task cannot sit unnoticed.

The factors, in plain terms

Priority
The number you gave it, 0–100. The biggest single weight.
Due date
Points climb as the date approaches, then keep climbing past it.
Effort
Small tasks are cheap to finish, so they edge ahead of a same-priority large one.
Age
A task that has waited a long time earns a nudge so nothing goes stale.
Dependencies
Blocking others adds weight. Being blocked removes it.
Business impact
Revenue or risk attached by an owner, on the Business plan.

Anything at or above 65 is Signal and shows in Focus. Below it is Noise: still on the board, out of the way.

Focus tells you what’s next. The board shows you everything.

Four columns. Drag a card between them, nudge it with the arrows, or type a task straight into a column. Try it.

A day that says no before you over-commit it.

Tick tasks into today. The meter fills against seven hours of capacity, and the verdict changes from Fits to Tight to Over before you have started anything.

Today · 7h capacity
6h 20m of 7h planned
Tight

Tight. One slip and the day is gone.

Then the week

The same meter runs for each day of the week, so a task pushed off Tuesday lands where there is room, not on the next day by default.

Effort sizes are estimates you set, XS through XL, and the meter turns them into minutes: fifteen for an XS, an hour for an S, half a day for an M. They are rough on purpose. The point is to find out at 9:05 that the day is over, while you can still move something.

Daily capacity and working hours are yours to change in Settings.

A timeline that shows where the slack is.

Dependencies drawn end to end, the critical path marked, buffer on everything else. Slip one task and see exactly what moves and what does not.

Gantt, with the arithmetic showing

Every bar is a task with a duration and its dependencies. The chain that decides the end date is marked; every other task shows how many days it can move before it joins that chain.

Forecast, or pin a date

Start dates are forecast from the dependency graph and your recent velocity. Drag a bar to pin a date, and the timeline tells you if a pinned task now starts before its blockers finish.
